The first official week of the program is over! We sped most of the time doing various getting to know each other stuff, learning about the program etc. It is really hard do describe what we have been doing up till now, I should have been taking notes and ill do my best for the next post. Let me try and give you the Highlights: Personally I now know that bus drivers in this country are utterly suicidal, however public buses have wifi. The city of David is great! Some thousands years ago when Assyrian had besieged Jerusalem the King had a tunnel build to divert the water from outside the city to the inside, this led to the Assyrian ending their siege. The tunnel is still there and walking through it is amazing, especially when you turn of the lights. Another unique experience this week was Yom Kippur and the preparations leading up to it. What impressed me the most is that the whole group actually kept the fest, and it made it easier to fast. To be fair it is nearly impossible not to fast in Jerusalem Today we will leave for the Kibbutz , were we will spend to month working. It is up to us what we want to do there and once we choose something we can still change if we are totally unhappy with our job. Ill let you know what I chose to do and how I feel about it next week. Die erste offizielle Woche im Programm ist vorbei!Den Großteil der Zeit haben wir mit mehr oder weniger lustigen Kennenlernspielchen und Programm Aufklärung verbracht.
Es ist wirklich grade nicht einfach alles wiederzugeben was ich ind
der Woche Erlebt habe, ich werde mich bemühen in Zukunft mehr zwischen durch auf zur Schreiben. Ich versuche trotzdem mal das vom wichtigsten zu berichten. Also als aller erstes Busfahrer in diesem Land sind Selbstmord gefährdet, andererseits haben die ÖPV Busse wlan! Davids Stadt ist wunderschön. Es gibt da einen Tunnel den ein König mal vor paar tausend Jahren bauen lies, weil die Assyrier die Stadt (Jerusalem) belagerten. Durch diesen Tunnel leitete er das Wasser in die Stadt und di Assyira verdurstet und zogen ab. Durch den Tunnel zu wandern, vor allem ohne Licht ist einmaliges Erlebnis und ich kann es nur weiter empfehlen. Eine Sache die mich hier auch wirklich beeindruckt hat war Yom Kippur, und seine vorbereitungen aber vor allem das alle aus unserer Gruppe gefastet haben. Ehrlich gesagt ist es in Jerusalem fast schon schwerer nicht zu Fasten, aber trotzdem. Heute fahren wir in dem Kibutz, dort bleiben wir zwei Monate und Arbeiten, was genau entscheiden wir da. Sollte uns die Arbeit nicht gefallen, dürfen wir auch wechseln. Schreibt mir was ihr hier lesen wollt. Lehitraot!
